Thank you to everyone who contributed to a great 2025 Annual Meeting! We met virtually on November 15 with 44 manufactured home owners joining us from around the country; making this our sixth year holding the meetings online. The meeting included several reports and presentations, including:
Zoning for Manufactured Homes and Communities
A panel discussed model land using zoning changes for manufactured homes and communities. Zoning governs the use and development of land within specific geographic locations. Decisions about zoning are generally made by local governments, however, the powers of local jurisdictions are defined by state laws and can also be influenced by federal action. Panel members included:

Successful Statewide Rent Stabilization Legislation
A panel discussed successful campaigns to pass statewide rent stabilization legislation. Before 2025, there were six states that set limits on manufactured home park lot rent increases: Delaware, Florida, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont. State manufactured home owner association leaders discussed how they added two new laws in New Jersey and Washington. Panel members included:

NMHOA Board and Officer Elections
NMHOA is governed by a 17-member board of directors, which is elected for two-year terms. Half of the positions are elected in even-numbered years. The results of this year's election include:

- Ishbel Dickens – A retired attorney and NMHOA’s former executive director will discuss policies that can support families living in existing manufactured home park communities, including successful examples of community organizing and advocacy.
- Grant Beck – The Next Step Network’s vice president of strategic partnerships will discuss policies to support the increased use of manufactured housing, including infill and new subdivisions.
- Rachel Siegel – Pew Charitable Trust’s senior officer for housing policy will discuss other policies that can support the new and current use of manufactured housing, including changes in titling and increased access to financing.
